Un week-end à Nice

Having a sister in law in Nice doesn't sound too bad, well in truth it's amazing !! Not only do we love spending time with her, the husband to be and their beautiful baby boy but we are lucky enough to be hosted at their beautiful maison de village on the Côte d'Azur.

Although admittedly I'm not the greatest fan of the city of Nice, I have always adored the region. With scenic balades from Antibes to St Tropez to keep me busy, the weather food lifestyle and beautiful coastline are enough to please any visitor. Especially when you have local hospitality to welcome you, what's not to like. La daube maison is a delight with a st tropeziiene treat as dessert. My Husband loves Italian food and without a doubt we appreciate it in Nice. Whether it be in the quaint town of valbonne or served up by the great safari restaurant at the market square we are never disappointed.

It's hardly surprising when you consider the history of Nice: during the Middle Ages it participated in the wars and history of Italy, until the Treaty of Turin was signed in 1860 and the County was awarded to France. The hardest thing to say no to is the Italian apéro with a spritz in my hand I'm always happy.

Waiting impatiently for summer, Nice is one of my favourite places to visit in france.
