Leaving the big city with my now Hubbie was a test and a half. We both left a cumulative 7 years in between Paris and London to move to the countryside of Provence to be greeted by a hew of lavender and olive trees everywhere.
Making the most of the regions' great produce I visit the markets as regularly as possible to ensure that I have the right ingredients to cook for my handsome hub. The less touristy markets are the best value and offer great finds, especially of good butchery, back yard eggs and great quality veggies.
Tonight I served up a yummy steak and puree de pommes de terre with a new amazing find the cut of meat : paleron, a great and cheap cut to keep the man happy.

Sometimes my creations don't compare to those of maman but I try with all my might to impress... from papillote du porc to saucisse aux lentils my light fare is enough to lull him into a coma and I'm certainly giving the Resto fils à maman a run for its money... next step is home grown veggies and chickens of my own... garden to fork will be my new motto
